Here are the images i have taken for my music magazine using my model Bella.

PHOTOS- ONE

Here in my first photoshoot are the first slide of photos, they didnt start off two well but i felt they got much  better towards the end.

Bella started off wearing a smart black blazer then we went onto a different look of wetlook leggings and a leather jacket.

The location of the photoshoot started off in my house then moved round the back to the garages.

Photoshoot two-
Location: In my bedroom against white wall, found that the lighting was really good here and made it look like a professional shoot.
Bella changed into a big cardigan and a hat to create the urban feel/look. Really like these images, i think one of these may be the front cover.

write about photoshoot.... Similar to photoshoot three however included the guitar to fit in with the 'music magazine' and represent the urban look still wearing the hat...

PHOTOSHOOT TWO- PHOTOS THREE

Here we tried using a hairdryer for the front cover image, it didn't work too well. The photos are blurry as the hairdryer made her laugh and move about, even on the sport mode of the camera it wasnt working. Bella then changed into a green jumper for a softer look compared to the wet look leggings and leather jacket.

MY PHOTOS- I feel i have taken enough photos for my magazine, i have enough and some ideas of which ones to use for my front cover, contents page and my double page spread.

PHOTOSHOOT IDEAS

I plan to have my photoshoot based around my road which is off of the seafront because it has many places that i would like to use.

The first set of photos i am going to take will be outside the back of my house by the garages,

I plan to have another photoshoot in my bedroom against the white wall because i need to get my front cover page and will take close up shots of bella i also want more photos to be featured in the 2 page spread and maybe even the contents page.

Another photoshoot i have chosen is the side of my house against the wall  just incase i am not happy with any of the photos taken before, and this background will give me the effect of a brick wall.

MY FLATPLANS

I need to plan my flatplan so i have a better idea of what look i am going for and what advertisements i am going to use on the front cover to attract the readers attention and make my magazine stand out to the others.

I also need to plan what my contents page will look like ( i want this to be better than my contents page for my school magazine as i wasnt too happy with it, i think i need to add more onto it and fill it out abit more)and what 'story' my 2 page spread will be on.

PHOTOS FOR MUSIC MAGAZINE

MY MAGAZINE PHOTOGRAPHY-

I went to a Rihanna concert last night and took some photos that i think could feature in my magazine..

I like these photos however i dont think i got close enough to rihanna and couldnt feature her as my main model for my magazine.Many of the photos didn't come out due to the stage lighting however some of the photos i took of the lighting i really like. I might still use these images and pretend that its the model im going to use concerts/gigs.

The model i am thinking of using for my magazine is my friend Bella Tregear. 

 

I have chosen to use Bella as my model because she has a very unique look that fits in with my magazine
The look i am going for is the indie/ urban look based on the magazine i have bought with florence on the front.

I need to create a focus group who will give me honest feedback. I will have 4 people in my focus group. These 4 people will represent my genre and will comment throughout my project.

My 4 people will be Nina, Athina, Harrison and Joshua who all go to my sixth form.

PLANNING
Now that i have finished my school magazine, we are now creating music magazines

We now are turning our attention to the Music press.

IN LESSON we discussed:

the record industry used to work and why its in crisis today- new technology=means of production & distribution in the hands of the creators, but fall in CD sales means not as much revenue to encourage and fund new music.

We also discussed the importance of music in Youth Sub culture

I have bought a music magazine that you i will scan and then go onto to annotate.

ROUGH PLANNING:

I have bought the magazine 'NME' to study and use as it fits with the genre i am going for

The audience that NME appeals to according to their website is-

The reason i chose the magazine 'NME' is because i like the look of it, i like how the name of the magazine stands out at the top and overrides the model behind (Florence one of my favourite artists), i think i may use this look in my magazine' I know already that i font i want to use for my magazine which i think stands out which is similar to 'NME' is the font i used in my school magazine. The name of this font is : 'CAPITALS' on photoshop. Photoshop is the software i am using to create my front cover, contents page and my double page spread on my artist/band.

This is the article featured on florence, I like how the artist is featured on half on the spread however my article will need to be alot more detailed.

I went onto the internet and found another double page spread on florence which i preferred

DESIGNING FRONT COVER (sixth form magazine)

This is my front cover so far in photoshop, i have inserted the picture of Rebecca as the background, The Masthead with the correct name and font that i chose in the flat plan, The Box 'revision tips' which i might change the font as i am not too keen on it and the website at the bottom of the page that isn't that visible.
